This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career as a Transmission Line Mechanic, gaining qualifications and learning the skills required to deliver high-quality construction, maintenance and fault diagnosis/rectification of transmission network equipment and installations.
You’ll be supported through structured training, on-the-job learning and development opportunities, working in a team that values safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Mōu Koe | About you
You’re motivated, reliable and keen to build a long-term career in the electricity industry. You enjoy hands-on work, take safety seriously, and are comfortable working outdoors in physically demanding environments.
You will bring:
- Level 1 NCEA passes in English and Maths
- Current Class 1 driver’s licence with a clean record
- Competent verbal and written communication skills
- Physical stamina to carry out manual work in challenging conditionsAn interest in the electrical industry — completion of a pre-trades course is an advantage
