Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role This is a customer-facing technical role that supports Account Managers in delivering PayPal’s Risk and Fraud Mitigation Solutions. The role exists to help merchants identify fraud risks and implement strategies that protect revenue and reduce exposure. Meet our team The Risk as a Service team supports all merchant-facing risk engagements across PayPal. We partner closely with Account Managers to present fraud solutions, demonstrate ROI, and design tailored fraud strategies. The team also enables and trains merchants to ensure successful adoption. Your way to impact You will help maximize PayPal and merchant revenue by reducing fraud and increasing transaction approval rates. This role delivers measurable value through stronger protection and optimized payment performance. Impact is measured by reduced chargebacks and improved overall approval rates.

Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the technical discovery phase with customers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Assist customers during the integration and onboarding process, ensuring smooth and successful deployment of solutions.
  • Explain complex technical concepts to C-level executives and non-technical audiences, ensuring they understand PayPal's technology and value proposition.
  • Record and review the solutioning process with the integration team to ensure technical and business requirements are met.
  • Represent the technical voice of the customer internally, participating in product design and roadmap reviews to ensure customer needs are addressed.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Engaging with Account managers in Pre-Sales discussions with merchants
  • Product-related presentations and demonstrations
  • Preparing merchant for the enablement of the fraud solution
  • Working with Data Science Team to determine the best fraud strategy
  • Enabling the product and training the merchant in its use
  • Providing guidance to Product Team for new features based on customer input, and implementation/support
  • Maintain records in SalesForce of all activities related to engagement with merchants
  • Prepare training materials and engage with merchants to deliver them
  • Set up new merchants on the fraud mitigation solution
  • Interact with the sales teams to provide support and answer questions related to products, fraud mitigation and best practices.
  • Provide support to Sales teams during merchant-facing calls
