ABOUT THE JOB

Ceva-Phylaxia seeks applicants for the full-time position of Formulation Scientist in the Vaccine Formulation & Adjuvant Platform within the Research and Development Biology Directorate of Ceva’s Phylaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district.

The Phylaxia Campus is one of the flagship sites of Ceva Animal Health group. The Vaccine Formulation and Adjuvant Platform is a 9-member multicultural team with a global presence, supporting vaccine development from innovation through formulation development all the way to industrialization in the field of bioformulation.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Platform Leader, you would focus on the laboratory development and production of innovative vaccines, working closely with internal and external partners. You would participate in technology transfer and support manufacturing scale-up, while implementing QbD-based development plans and monitoring professional and technological innovations.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

Design, develop and produce* innovative vaccine formulationsat lab scale for the next generations of CEVA vaccines in collaboration with internal and external partners
- Production process optimization to support* technology transfer & scaling up**:

• Prepare and execute formulation experimental plans based on QbD:

• Follow-up of scientific literature and technological novelties to bring smart solutions for unmet needs

• To supportall our global teams and partners in terms of vaccine formulation at lab scale

Your profile:
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Master’s degree in Chemical engineering, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Bioengineering:

• Background with formulation at lab/pilot scale of pharmaceutics/cosmetics/nutraceutics

• Ability to work independently, as part of a multicultural team, adaptability, and a positive attitude:

• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously

• Keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Good communication skills both in English and Hungarian are required

ADVANTAGES

• Knowledge in emulsions/polymers/nanocarriers and their characterization methods
• Experience with freeze-drying and lyophilization excipients
