What you’ll need to apply
All applicants must possess:
- Two (2) years of full-time experience (ESSENTIAL): Minimum of 2 years experience supporting residents with complex needs.
- Qualifications: hold a Certificate 3 in (Individual Support) or higher.
- Work eligibility: be eligible to work in Australia, either as an Australian citizen or with a valid visa that includes work entitlements.
Additional certificates and checks: hold the following certificates and checks:
First Aid Certificate
- CPR Certificate
- Police Clearance
- Working With Children (WWC) Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
Key role responsibilities
- Compassionate direct care: Deliver personalised care that includes assisting with personal hygiene, domestic tasks, and mobility support. Be the friendly face that helps with meal preparation and management, ensuring that residents' dietary needs are met with care and attention.
- Transportation: Take the wheel of a small disability van and safely transport residents to appointments and community outings.
- Medication management: Play an essential role in assisting with the administration of medication, ensuring residents receive the care they need with precision and responsibility.
- Engagement: Offer mental stimulation through engaging and fun recreational activities. Be a source of joy and creativity, helping residents discover new passions and pastimes.
