About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Rostering Officer to join a growing and well-established organisation supporting participants across healthcare, disability, and community services.

This role is essential to ensuring participants receive consistent, high-quality support by coordinating rosters for frontline support staff across multiple services.

What Does a Rostering Officer Do in Healthcare / Disability?

As a Rostering Officer, you are responsible for coordinating staff rosters to ensure participants receive safe, consistent, and compliant care while balancing employee availability, award requirements, and service needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and maintaining staff rosters for support workers / care teams
  • Managing shift allocations, cancellations and last-minute coverage
  • Ensuring participant support continuity
  • Liaising with support staff regarding availability and shift updates
  • Supporting payroll accuracy relating to rostered hours and penalties
  • Monitoring award compliance, fatigue rules and NDIS service requirements
  • Working closely with coordinators, team leaders and service managers
  • Maintaining accurate data in workforce management systems

Roster & Shift Environment

  • Rotating roster environment supporting 7-day services
  • May involve early / late rostering coordination
  • Weekend and penalty shifts may apply
  • Hybrid working available after training and onboarding

About You

You will ideally bring:

  • Experience in rostering within healthcare, disability, NDIS, aged care or community services
  • Strong understanding of shift-based workforce environments
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to stay calm and solutions-focused in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication skills with staff, coordinators and stakeholders
  • Empathy and understanding of participant-centred service delivery

Essential Requirement

Demonstrated hands-on experience using UKG Pro (Workforce Management System)
