Plex Eats - Murarrie / Metroplex
Plex Eats is a weekday café and catering business located in the Metroplex commercial precinct. We’re looking for a hands-on Local Marketing & Outreach Coordinator to help grow our catering orders and weekday walk-in trade through on-the-ground outreach and local marketing.
This is a part-time role (12-16 hours per week) suited to someone who enjoys talking to people, being out in the community, and executing practical marketing activities.
About the Role
Reporting to management, you will support and execute local marketing initiatives, build relationships with surrounding businesses, and assist with promoting our catering and in-store offers.
This is not a desk-only role — you’ll be out in the local area engaging with businesses, distributing marketing materials, and representing the Plex Eats brand.
Key Responsibilities
Local Area Outreach & Engagement
- Visit nearby offices and businesses to introduce Plex Eats and our catering services
- Distribute brochures, menus, and promotional materials
- Conduct regular check-ins with local customers to build relationships and gather feedback
- Identify and follow up potential catering leads
Social Media & Local Promotion
- Manage basic posting on Plex Eats’ social media accounts (Instagram & Facebook)
- Promote daily specials, catering offers, and campaigns
- Engage with local businesses online and respond to enquiries
Campaign Execution
- Execute marketing strategies and promotions as directed by managers and directors
- Support catering campaigns, launches, and seasonal promotions
- Assist with simple tracking of outcomes (leads, enquiries, feedback)
Deliveries & Support (Occasional)
- Assist with delivery of larger catering orders when required
- Represent the business professionally during deliveries and customer interactions
Reporting
- Provide a brief weekly update on outreach activity, leads, and feedback
About You
- Friendly, confident, and comfortable speaking with people face-to-face
- Organised and reliable, with the ability to work independently
- Basic experience with social media posting (Canva / InstagraM/Facebook)
- Comfortable walking and driving around the local business precinct
- Hospitality, retail, or customer-facing experience is highly regarded
Mandatory Requirements
- Valid Australian driver’s licence
- Access to your own registered and insured vehicle
- Willingness to travel locally for outreach and occasional catering deliveries
(Work-related travel is reimbursed.)
Hours & Employment Details
- Permanent part-time role:
- 12-16 hours per week (typically 2 days per week)
- Hours may be flexible by agreement
- Clerks - Private Sector Award 2020 (Level 1-2)
Pay & Benefits
- $24-$27 per hour (depending on experience)
- Superannuation paid
- Annual leave and personal leave (pro-rata)
- Work-related travel reimbursed at the applicable kilometre rate
