- Wealth Management Director_
Role Summary
The Wealth Management Director is responsible for leading the overall wealth management strategy, client offering, and team performance, with a focus on high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients. The role combines leadership, business development, and technical advisory oversight to ensure best‑in‑class client experience and sustainable growth of assets under management.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the wealth management business strategy, including client segmentation, product offering, and pricing.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of relationship managers/wealth advisors, setting clear performance goals and ensuring high standards of client service.
- Oversee the design and delivery of holistic wealth solutions covering investment management, financial planning, retirement, estate, and tax‑aware strategies.
- Review and approve complex client proposals, portfolio strategies, and investment recommendations prepared by the advisory team.
- Drive new business and assets under management growth through networking, partnerships, and targeted business development initiatives.
- Maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as senior point of escalation for complex or sensitive matters.
- Coordinate with Investment, Treasury, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of wealth services.
- Monitor financial markets, regulatory changes, and competitive trends, adjusting the business and investment approach as needed.
- Own P&L for the wealth management unit (or assigned segment), including revenue, cost management, and profitability targets.
- Ensure full adherence to all internal policies, risk frameworks, and regulatory requirements, fostering a strong compliance culture.
- Implement and enhance processes, technology, and reporting to improve efficiency, risk control, and client experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CFP, CISI, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or investment advisory, including several years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing and growing a book of high‑net‑worth / ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients and assets under management.
- Deep knowledge of investment products, portfolio construction, financial planning, and wealth structuring; familiarity with regional tax and estate considerations is an advantage.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building, coaching, and performance‑managing advisory teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for clients.
- Strong commercial mindset, negotiation skills, and ability to drive revenue while maintaining high ethical standards.
- High level of integrity, risk awareness, and commitment to regulatory compliance.

Pay: BD55.000 - BD90.000 per hour
