Requirements and responsibilities
System Administrator - Mid Level.:
A - Must Have (Critical)
- Lead the maintenance and support of virtual servers on-premises (VMware vSphere).
- Administer and secure Windows Server infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, Certificate Authority, Active Directory, file servers).
- Oversee Linux server administration (Ubuntu) in production environments.
- Monitor, configure, and maintain network devices including firewalls and switches.
- Monitor and validate backups, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Document procedures, enforce standards, and contribute to knowledge sharing.
B - Should Have (Important) - 2 or 3 out of 7
- Manage and support cloud-based virtual servers (Google Cloud Platform). 2/5
- Ensure high availability through clustering (Windows Failover Cluster Instances). 1/5
- Administer Microsoft SQL Server databases. 2/5
- Oversee Servers, SAN, and NAS storage systems. 1/5
- Scripting ability in PowerShell and Bash for automation. 1/5
- Install and maintain IIS web servers. 1/5
C - Nice to Have (Beneficial)
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub for version control and collaboration. 1/5
- Configure Nginx, HAProxy, and manage SSL certificates. 3/5
- Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Graylog). 1/5
