About the role
As a Junior SOC Analyst, you will support day-to-day security monitoring and incident handling within the Security Operations Center. Your main focus will be identifying, analyzing, and escalating potential security threats to protect the organization’s systems and data.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM and other security tools
- Perform initial triage, classify incidents, and escalate when necessary
- Investigate suspicious activities, gather evidence, and document findings
- Support senior analysts during incident response
- Follow SOC procedures and playbooks
- Contribute to improving detection and response processes
About you
- Bachelor’s degree (or final-year student) in: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications or equivalent practical experience
- 0-2 years of experience in IT Security, SOC, Monitoring, or IT Operations (internships welcome)
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and common threats
- Familiarity with at least one SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar) or endpoint security tool (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike)
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, ability to triage alerts and document incidents
- Willingness to learn, team player, good communication skills, English for technical documentation and reporting
