Job Summary
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the organization, driving profitable growth, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining strong governance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder confidence. The role requires balancing commercial performance with safety, sustainability, and energy transition priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s vision, strategy, and long-term business objectives.
- Oversee all business units, operations, and executive functions.
- Ensure financial health, profitability, and sustainable growth.
- Lead major investments, expansion plans, partnerships, and transformation initiatives.
- Manage relationships with board members, regulators, investors, customers, and government stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence, risk management, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Promote health, safety, environmental responsibility, and corporate governance.
- Guide digital transformation, innovation, and energy transition initiatives.
- Build and develop a high-performing executive leadership team.
- Represent the company publicly and strengthen its market reputation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Extensive senior leadership experience in the energy sector.
- Strong background in strategic planning, financial management, and operations.
- Proven ability to lead large organizations through change and growth.
- Deep understanding of energy markets, regulation, sustainability, and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in oil and gas, power, utilities, renewables, or energy infrastructure.
- Track record of leading complex, capital-intensive businesses.
- Experience working with boards, regulators, and international partners.
- Familiarity with energy transition, emissions reduction, and innovation strategies.
