Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage, and distribution of chemical products at the Doha facility.
- Ensure all chemical handling aligns with Qatar’s environmental and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure clear hazard labeling on all containers.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to track inventory levels and prevent stockouts.
- Lead regular safety drills and train site staff on proper spill response and PPE usage.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory inspections and environmental reporting.
- Manage chemical waste disposal processes in compliance with local municipal guidelines.
Skills and Requirements
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Qatar Labor Law safety standards and international GHS (Globally Harmonized System) labeling.
- Chemical Expertise: Prior experience handling hazardous materials, acids, or industrial solvents safely.
- Organizational Skills: Proficiency in using inventory management software (ERP) and Microsoft Excel for tracking.
- Communication: Strong English communication skills; ability to explain safety protocols clearly to a diverse workforce.
- Safety Mindset: IOSH or NEBOSH certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years in a chemical coordination, safety officer, or laboratory management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
