Job Overview:
Green Growth Consultant is seeking a forward-thinking ESG Strategy Director to lead sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives within the petroleum sector. This senior leadership role is responsible for shaping ESG strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving sustainable business practices aligned with global standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ESG strategies tailored to petroleum operations
  • Lead sustainability initiatives, including carbon reduction, energy efficiency, and environmental stewardship
  • Ensure compliance with local and international ESG regulations and reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD)
  • Oversee ESG reporting, disclosures, and stakeholder communications
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate ESG into corporate strategy and operations
  • Identify risks and opportunities related to sustainability and climate impact
  • Engage with regulators, investors, and partners on ESG performance and initiatives
  • Promote a culture of sustainability and ethical governance across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in ESG, sustainability, or environmental management within oil & gas or energy sectors
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to influence executive decision-making
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong understanding of petroleum industry operations and sustainability challenges
