Key Responsibilities:
- Offer individual and group counseling sessions for primary students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to the needs of young learners.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to foster a positive and nurturing school environment.
- Engage and communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support students’ well-being.
- Connect families with relevant community resources and support services.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions for staff focused on child development and mental health.
- Maintain accurate documentation and case records in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Participate in school meetings and contribute to policy development related to student welfare.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in primary education, ideally 2-4 years.
- Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood mental health, and family dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills tailored to young children and their families.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Relevant licensure or certifications in social work are a plus.
