We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Factory Operator to join our fast-growing FMCG manufacturing team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating extrusion manufacturing equipment
- Experience working with flow packing / horizontal packing machines
- Understanding of production line setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting
- Experience with snack, maize, or food manufacturing preferred
- Ability to monitor product quality and consistency
- Understanding of production targets and downtime reduction
- Basic mechanical problem-solving ability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced factory environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience working under HACCP / FSSC22000 environments advantageous
Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor extrusion machinery
- Operate and maintain flow packing machines
- Perform machine setup and changeovers
- Monitor product quality, weight, sealing, and packaging consistency
- Minimize downtime and report technical issues quickly
- Assist with preventative maintenance and cleaning schedules
- Ensure production targets are achieved efficiently
- Follow all food safety and factory procedures
- Complete production and quality control records
Advantageous Skills
- Experience with seasoning systems and oil coating systems
- Experience in snack, or maize extrusion production
- Mechanical or electrical background
- Forklift licence advantageous
Pay: R12 000,00 - R20 000,00 per hour
