Key Responsibilities of a Retail Assistant:
Customer Service:

  • Welcoming customers and providing assistance with finding items.
  • Answering customer inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Providing product information and making recommendations.

Sales and Transactions:

  • Processing sales transactions, including cash and card payments.
  • Understanding and promoting current sales, promotions, and loyalty programs.
  • Ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout process.

Store Operations:

  • Maintaining the store's appearance and cleanliness.
  • Restocking shelves and arranging merchandise.
  • Monitoring activities within the store.
  • Assisting with inventory management and stock replenishment.

Other Duties:

  • Following company policies and procedures.
  • Completing daily opening and closing tasks.
  • Ensuring products are safely packaged and properly distributed.
  • Carrying out periodic inventory audits.
  • Organizing the stockroom or warehouse.
