New World Island Bay is a locally owned and operated supermarket in Wellington's South Coast. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards across every area of our store. We are looking for an experienced and motivated Storeroom Manager to join our leadership team.
The role of Storeroom Manger includes:
Ensure operational delivery standards are met or exceeded
Ensure products arrive into store in a safe and timely manner and condition. Once on site ensure appropriate security of stock.
Ensure all stock is efficiently unloaded in a timely fashion while ensuring healthy and safety standards are met.
Break down all orders and mark off the stock appropriately.
Undertake seasonal change arounds - ensure efficient transition / placement of seasonal stock until next year.
Put away stock in correct locations and ensure departments are aware of deliveries as they arrive. Ensure appropriate rotation of stock if placing stock in store room locations e.g. drinks etc.
Maintain the security of the rear door as per company guidelines.
Assist Buyer with any Stock or count data related issues.
Ensure stockroom is kept clean and tidy and free of potential hazards.
Check forklifts and pallet jacks for servicing requirements on a regular basis
What we are looking for:
Honesty and Reliability
Ability to work under pressure
You will need to be able to communicate effectively to the wider team and be Health and Safety focused.
Possess a Forklift license
Ideally you will have SAP experience
Hours of Work Monday to Friday
6.00am to 2.30pm
Applicants must hold New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.
