Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Security department.
- Develop security measures and assure the overall security of all members of the organization.
- Direct and coordinate overall activities of the department to achieve maximum efficiency and Security measures as required by the Port.
- Coordinate security operations, as well as manage, train, and assess performance of the entire security personnel.
- Supervise / delegate duties to all staff within the department
- Conduct regular inspection and meeting with security Management Team to review and if necessary, recommends re-modification of any security procedures
- Maintain a close working relation with other department and attend related management meeting
- Help in writing and developing security policies and procedures for the security department
- Supervise document controller in maintaining of all security management system procedures
- Maintain ISPS Code and share its regulations with the several departments to be applicable in proper manner.
- Audit all Activities for maritime security.
- Compliance with security management system
- Follow up security internal audit with other related departments
- Review all NCRs and making sure the corrective actions are implemented
- Prepare training plans for Security Department
- Design electronic security systems including Access Control, CCTV, and Radio Communications according to Security/Safety operational requirements.
- Prepare regular maintenance plans for each security system. And follow up through each.
- Prepare development plan for each system
- Prepare needed annual budget for each system
- Prepare training schedules for responsible operators i.e., X -Ray scanner's operators, Security Control Room operators,
- Supervise projects provided by external organizations and related to Security systems
- Prepare reports related to the Security Systems performance including the performance Improvement recommendations.
- Communicate with external organizations and institutions for licenses and arrangements related to our works i.e., NTRA, Police Authority, TETREA, Atomic Energy and Customs. etc.
- Supervise the corrective maintenance procedures related to Container's X Ray Scanner over 24/7 which made by our team member.
- Prepare the budget related to Security System’s needs & spare parts.
Follow up corrective maintenance related to handheld metal and walk-through metal detectors which operated by Police Authority officers.
- Qualifications, Experience and Skills:
Qualification and Certificates:Educational bachelor’s degree
- Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO)
- Marine Lead Auditor
- Risk Management
- At least 10 years of experience, preferable work experience in Maritime operations
- ISO 28000:2022
- ISPS code “International Ships & Ports Security code”.
- Good Knowledge in Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control, Radio Communications, etc. )
- Great Knowledge in Port’s Security (Regarding ISPS Code)
- Knowledge of public safety and security
- Knowledge of Egyptians laws and regulations
