Job Summary

Shimabara Otobun Purchasing is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to lead end-to-end global buying operations and strategic vendor management. In this role, you will take ownership of high-value procurement categories, orchestrate complex commercial negotiations, and ensure a seamless flow of materials. As a senior member of the team, you will also play a critical role in optimizing purchasing workflows, mitigating supply chain risks, and identifying continuous cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Procurement Execution: Manage the lifecycle of high-volume and complex purchase requisitions and purchase orders (POs) from initial sourcing through to final delivery and reconciliation.
  • Strategic Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and onboard international and domestic suppliers. Lead advanced negotiations regarding contract terms, volume discounts, minimum order quantities (MOQs), and extended credit structures.
  • Supply Chain Risk Mitigation: Monitor global market trends, material shortfalls, and geopolitical impacts. Proactively develop alternative sourcing strategies to secure business continuity.
  • Process Automation & Spend Analysis: Utilize advanced Excel data models and ERP systems to audit team expenditures, track supplier performance KPIs, and build automated templates to streamline buying cycles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with logistics, inventory planning, and finance departments to resolve complex delivery discrepancies, customs issues, or billing variances.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of corporate procurement or purchasing experience, with a proven track record operating in a senior or lead buyer capacity within a global supply chain or BPO setting.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data automation) and extensive hands-on experience utilizing modern enterprise ERP systems.
  • Commercial Acumen: Strong expertise in international logistics, incoterms, landed cost calculations, and contract management.
  • Core Competencies: Exceptional negotiation, critical thinking, and structural problem-solving skills. Highly organized with a meticulous eye for commercial details.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills to confidently interface with global stakeholders and lead corporate vendor meetings.

Pay: BD664.680 per month
