Job Summary

Teicam Supply Management is seeking a highly analytical and leadership-driven Technical Procurement Supervisor to oversee the sourcing and purchasing of complex engineering components, industrial machinery, raw materials, and technical services. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical engineering requirements and commercial supply chain execution. You will be responsible for leading a team of buyers, managing high-value technical vendor accounts, ensuring strict adherence to quality specifications, and optimizing procurement workflows to achieve maximum cost efficiencies and operational uptime.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision & Workflow Management: Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of technical buyers and procurement specialists. Assign categories, monitor daily workloads, and ensure the accurate and timely execution of all purchase requisitions and purchase orders (POs).
  • Technical Sourcing & Category Management: Manage end-to-end strategic sourcing for specialized engineering parts, equipment, instrumentation, and technical MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) services based on blueprint designs and technical data sheets.
  • Contract & Price Negotiation: Conduct high-level commercial negotiations with global manufacturers, technical OEMs, and specialized service providers. Establish long-term framework agreements, optimize minimum order quantities (MOQs), and secure favorable warranty and payment terms.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, quality control, and safety teams to verify that all procured materials meet exact technical specifications, industrial standards, and regulatory compliance guidelines.
  • Process Automation & Spend Analytics: Utilize advanced Excel models and enterprise ERP systems to audit team expenditures, track supplier performance KPIs, analyze total cost of ownership (TCO), and build automated reporting dashboards for senior leadership.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of corporate procurement or purchasing experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory, team-lead, or senior technical buyer capacity within a manufacturing, engineering, heavy industry, or global supply chain environment.
  • Technical & Industry Acumen: Strong capability to interpret technical documentation, engineering bills of materials (BOMs), and industrial specifications. Solid understanding of global logistics, Incoterms, and customs procedures for technical components.
  • Software Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (complex formulas, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data tracking, and automation) and extensive hands-on experience utilizing enterprise ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics 365).
  • Core Competencies: Strong leadership and people-management capabilities, exceptional commercial negotiation skills, and a structural approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills to confidently manage cross-functional corporate alignments and lead contract discussions with global engineering vendors.

Pay: BD717.850 per month
