Tour Guide Assistant - Italian Speaker (M/F) - Singapore
About the Opportunity
Guydeez connects international travelers with passionate local professionals who enjoy sharing their city. We are currently looking for Italian-speaking Tour Guide Assistants based in Singapore to welcome visitors and support private walking experiences showcasing the city's culture, neighborhoods, and everyday life.
In this role, you'll work hand in hand with a licensed guide — acting as the Italian-language voice of the tour, translating and delivering the guide's commentary so Italian-speaking visitors enjoy a seamless, fully understood experience.
Main Responsibilities
Working alongside a licensed tour guide, you will:
- Welcome international visitors and accompany them during private walking experiences
- Translate and convey the licensed guide's commentary into Italian, ensuring nothing is lost for the guests
- Share insights about Singapore's history, culture, landmarks, and local lifestyle in Italian
- Facilitate smooth communication between the guide and Italian-speaking visitors throughout the tour
- Adapt each experience according to guests' interests and preferences
- Create a professional, friendly, and engaging atmosphere
- Ensure visitors enjoy a memorable and well-organized experience
Requirements:
- Based in Singapore with excellent knowledge of the city
- Fluent in Italian and proficient in English (you'll translate between the two throughout the tour)
- Comfortable interacting with international visitors
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Friendly, reliable, and professional
- Comfortable being on your feet for walking experiences lasting 3-8 hours
