Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
  • Guide and motivate pastry assistants and bakers to work more efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
  • Supervise and coordinate all pastry preparation and presentation.
  • Incharge of all activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  • Follows proper handling and right temperature of all food products.
  • Monitor stocks for baking ingredients such as flour, sugar etc. and make appropriate orders within budget and dealing with Suppliers.
  • Incharge of customers issues and follow problems through to resolution.
  • Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven experience as Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role.
  • Organizing and leadership skills.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity.
  • Certificate in pastry-making, baking or relevant field.
  • Positive attitude and Good communication skills.
  • Posses professional disposition with good communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or related professional area or 2-year degree from an accredited, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the food and beverage,
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in the pastry chef with high volume food production and Incharge.

Salary: From AED4,000.00 per month
