Responsibilities
- The assessment of Foster Carers using the BAAF Form assessment model.
- Priorities the completion of the report within the agreed timescale.
- Ensure the report is of good standard supplied with all supporting material.
- The presentation of the report to the fostering panel.
- Liaison with the registered agency manager and other professionals involved.
Qualifications:
- A CCETSW recognized social work qualification; Dip.SW, CQSQ and CSS
Experience
- BAAF assessment experience is necessary.
- 2 years post qualifying experience of social work practice with children and families.
Skills:
- To be able to work independently and manage the requirements of the BAAF Form F assessment.
- The ability to communicate effectively with applicants, their families and other relevant persons involved in the assessment process.
- To communicate effectively and promote good working relationships with agency staff, professionals and the prospective foster carers.
- To have good assessment and report writing skills consistent with statutory requirements and agency expectations and procedures.

Pay
£2,000 per Form F (includes travel expenses).
