Job Title: Accounts Director

Company Overview:
We are a leading group of companies with a diversified portfolio in real estate investment and development, property leasing, travel services, construction, and hospitality asset management. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Director to provide strategic financial leadership and oversee various financial functions across our business segments.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Audits and Compliance:

  • Oversee and coordinate annual audits for all companies within the group, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to address audit findings and recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of audit results.

Tax Strategy and Compliance:

  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the group's tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws that may affect the group's operations.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants or advisors as needed to address tax-related matters.

VAT Reporting and Compliance:

  • Manage the preparation and submission of quarterly VAT reports for all companies in accordance with local regulations.
  • Ensure precise calculation, filing, and payment of VAT.
  • Maintain detailed records of VAT transactions and perform regular VAT reconciliations.

ERP Implementation Leadership:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a successful ERP rollout.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports, including Bank reconciliation, Cash flow statement, Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, Receivable aging report, and Payable aging reports.
  • Provide insights and analysis based on financial data.

Bank Relations and Payment Expedite:

  • Visit banks and maintain strong relationships with banking partners.
  • Follow up with banks to expedite payments processed through them.

Budget Preparation:

  • Lead the budget preparation process, collaborating with department heads to establish annual budgets.
  • Monitor and manage budget performance throughout the fiscal year.

Qualifications:
In addition to the previously mentioned qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing audits, tax matters, VAT reporting, ERP implementations, Sukook payments, and budgeting for a group of companies.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex financial information.
  • Previous experience in real estate, leasing, travel, construction, or hospitality industries is highly advantageous.
