Milling Crew Laborer

Job Summary -

Key Responsibilities -

  • Assist with setup and teardown of milling equipment and traffic control signage
  • Remove debris from milled surfaces using brooms, blowers, or shovels
  • Support equipment operators with ground guidance and material handling
  • Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and safety gear
  • Flag traffic or assist with lane closures and safety per DOT or site requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the job site
  • Follow direction from the Milling Foreman and communicate clearly with team members
  • Wear proper PPE and adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards
  • Perform general labor duties to support overall milling operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements -

  • Previous experience on a road crew or milling operation is a plus, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and around heavy equipment
  • Strong attention to safety and ability to follow instructions
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance are essential
  • CDL license is a plus
  • Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
  • Must be willing to travel overnight when projects are outside the local area
